Estimate fuel and camping costs for a trip. Enter the total round-trip distance once - the calculator doesn't double it.
How it is calculated
- Fuel = round-trip miles ÷ mpg × price per gallon
- Total = fuel + nights × nightly fee + other fees + food and other spending
Example: 600 miles ÷ 20 mpg × $3.50 = $105 fuel. Three nights × $30 = $90. Other fees $35 and food $120: total $350. These are example inputs, not current prices for a specific place.
Limits: the result is an estimate, not a quote. If the nightly fee is unknown the total is marked “incomplete” instead of counting camping as $0. Fees, fuel prices and towing mileage vary - check the official site before you go.
